In this presentation, we will review terminology and techniques to establish a safe space for our LGBTQ+ identifying patients and review some common health topics to approach our patients from an informed perspective. Topics covered in this lecture include: gender inclusive language, the gender unicorn, hormone replacement therapy considerations in an emergency department setting, pre and post exposure prophylaxis, Undetectable equals untransmissible (U=U) PARTNER 1 and 2 trials.
