During this talk, I will discuss the initiation of a healthy grieving process for the survivors after a sudden death of a loved one. Specifically, we will discuss grief and its complications, as well as review the evidence behind the best practices for this type of patient communication. In addition, we will link this unique process to fostering resilience in our careers.
