In this session we will examine common reasons for sedation of pediatric patients and examine both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic methods of avoiding sedation given the significant resources that sedation uses as well as the associated risks.

Develop nonpharmacologic methods of assisting children in procedural tolerance
Optimize usage of pharmacologic management without sedation for pediatric procedures
