This lecture will cover the pathophysiology and anatomical variation that can contribute to a challenging resuscitation in the critically ill bariatric patient. W e will also cover some tips on how to optimize cardiopulmonary resuscitation, by addressing airway management, ventilation techniques, vascular assess, and CPR.

After this session the learner will be able to identify some of the physiologic and anatomic changes associated with the critically ill bariatric patient.
