Oh the eye... that little squishy window into our brain and souls... if you're like me, then the thought of that squishy globe getting smashed to goo makes your skin crawl and heart scream. Well, this lecture is designed to help you overcome that gut wrenching fear of a traumatized eye. We will demystify the approach to assessing the eye (including dos and don'ts), and a systematized approach that will make your ophtho. consult proud. We will review a series of high yield case presentations, reviewing salient pathology, and diagnostic tips. We will also review how to best integrate ultrasound into your diagnostic tool belt.

Systematically approach an ocular physical exam, specifically in ocular trauma.
Recognize the emergent red flags for high risk ocular pathology following ocular trauma
Understand how to utilize bedside techniques and ultrasound to improve your diagnostic capability in ocular trauma
