Dr. Chin completed his undergraduate and medical school at the University of Virginia. He completed a Transitional Internship at Walter Read Army Medical Center and his Emergency Medicine residency at the Brooke Army Medical Center. He subsequently completed an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at the University of California-Irvine Medical Center and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound. He currently serves as the Dept. Chair of Emergency Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center. His areas of interest are in automated ultrasound interpretation technology, emergency ultrasound use by non-physicians, and medical malpractice.
