Reese Nicolini, DO PhD EJD FAAEM is a member of the permanent, full-time academic faculty at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA where he also serves as the director for Morbidity and Mortality and Quality Assurance. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor of Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Nicolini has been Board Certified in Emergency Medicine since 2009 and has also been independently licensed as a Clinical Psychologist since 1999. He completed an Executive Juris Doctorate (EJD) degree with an emphasis in Health Care Law in 2020, has recently completed a 4-year Academic Fellowship in Psychoanalysis in 2024. He has had the privilege of lecturing at the state and national level on both medical-legal and emergency mental health topics in the ED setting.
