Dr. Amanda J. Deutsch, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Director of Well-Being for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Deutsch earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University. She pursued post-baccalaureate studies while conducting quality improvement research at Boston Children’s Hospital before beginning her medical education at the University of Iowa, her home state. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Following residency, Dr. Deutsch completed a fellowship in Physician Wellness at Stanford Emergency Medicine.
In her current role as Director of Well-Being, Dr. Deutsch integrates her expertise and interests in clinical operations, process improvement, and well-being to drive systemic change, fostering a healthier and more supportive environment for clinicians and patients alike.
