Brian Gacioch, MD, FAAEM, FACEP (he/him/his) is an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine, and in the Section of Palliative Medicine, Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and he serves as an Instructor in Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, and trained in emergency medicine at BIDMC. He then served on active duty in the United States Air Force, following which he returned to BIDMC where he completed a clinical fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Dr. Gacioch is board certified in emergency medicine as well as hospice and palliative medicine through the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He practices emergency medicine at BIDMC and community hospitals within the Beth Israel Lahey Health system, and palliative medicine at BIDMC. His teaching and research focus is on improving care of patients with advanced illnesses in the emergency department and acute care hospital setting. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
