Dr. Maureen Aiad is an Emergency Medicine Nocturnist with over a decade of experience as an attending physician at NYU Langone Long Island. Her career is marked by a passion for teaching and mentoring, particularly in lecturing and facilitating small group didactics for medical students and residents.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Aiad holds a special interest in wellness, focusing on topics such as work hygiene, sleep and rest management, and emotional well-being. Her advocacy for holistic health led her to serve on the executive board of Kula for Karma, a nonprofit organization at the forefront of promoting mental health for marginalized groups and communities through medically-backed mindfulness practices.
Outside of the Emergency Department, Dr. Aiad cherishes a life centered around family, friends, and her beloved dog. She finds solace in home life cherishing the quiet moments of tucking her children in and unwinding on the couch with her husband, who is also an ER physician. She also enjoys travel, exploring both local and international destinations, particularly on boats with her family or hiking scenic trails. A passionate snowboarder, she stays active year-round and is an avid user of the Tonal, reflecting her commitment to fitness and well-rounded health.
