Neil Dasgupta is the Vice Chair, Director of Emergency Critical Care and residency Program Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. He is also Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine..
He completed his medical degree as well as emergency medicine residency at the Stony Brook School of Medicine. After spending some time in community emergency medicine, he returned to complete the Advanced Resuscitation fellowship at Stony Brook and transition to a more academic career. Not always medically minded, prior to medicine Neil was a software developer as well as a high school mathematics teacher.
His professional interests include resuscitation and critical care in the emergency department, as well as emergency medicine/critical care education. When not doing EM things, you can find Neil under a pile of his kids and their friends, sneaking out of the house with his wife for food and drink adventures, and trying to remember how to play the piano or guitar.
