Dr. Stephanos is a dual trained physician in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. She completed training at the University of Maryland, and then joined the faculty at the University of Rochester where she was Core faculty for the Emergency Medicine residency and Assistant Clerkship Director for Emergency Medicine. She recently returned to her hometown of Baltimore, and is now faculty at the University of Maryland as Assistant Professor, Assistant Director for Undergraduate Medical Education, and Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine-Pediatrics residency. She works clinically in both the Pediatric and Adult Emergency Departments. Her academic interests include education, Pediatric Emergency Medicine (specifically critical care, trauma and hematologic/oncologic emergencies), and women in medicine.
